1ST BIRTHDAY BASH GOES OFF!

Attended by approximately 600 people over the weekend, Watts River Brewery, founded by two former White Rabbit Brewers enjoyed a successful first birthday celebration.

Live Music

Featuring live music including a drumming performance by co-owner & brewer Aaron Malmborg with cameo vocals by his partner, co-owner Emily Sheppard in the specially formed 80s cover band the event was blessed with beautiful spring weather. Other musical acts enjoyed by the crowd were Adrian Gardiner, Square Wave Ghost, The Eternal Beauty of Glaciers, and local identity DJ Wazza who got the dancefloor cranking.

Supporting CFA

The Brewery held a Sausage Sizzle on the Friday night with proceeds being donated to the CFA. They also launched Birthday Beer, “Healesvillain” Red Ale, developed in collaboration with local businesses, a percentage of proceeds will also be donated to the CFA.

“It’s so great to have the support of so many locals, we really love this town, and while building this business has challenged us in ways we never expected, a day like this really makes it all worthwhile” said co-owner and brewer Ben Hamilton.

“We really wanted to celebrate making it this far, and to have a party to thank everyone who has supported us by buying our beer, and all our friends and family who have overwhelmed us with their generosity and support over the last two years” said co-owner Hanna Hamilton.

The crowd enjoyed food by East Side Smokers who regularly provide delicious eats at Watts River Brewery on Saturdays and Jaffle It.
